DPM Meets with Logistics CEO to Expand Investment

PARIS: While accompanying Prime Minister Hun Manet on his state visit to France, Vice-President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, Sun Chanthol, met with the CEO of logistics company CMA CGM yesterday to find common ground on Cambodian investment.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, paid a courtesy call to the CEO of CMA CGM, Rodolphe Saadé, on the morning of January 18.

During the meeting, Mr. Saadé briefed the Deputy Prime Minister on his company’s business activities as a logistics company with more than 400 offices operating in more than 160 countries around the world.

He said that his company has about 623 cargo ships and six cargo planes and that its core services include: global freight forwarding, end-to-end logistics, freight tracking and handling, and container-related expertise for all types of freight.

Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol welcomed the company's intention to expand its investment in Cambodia and encouraged the company to cooperate with all stakeholders, emphasizing the Royal Government's commitment to ensuring a favorable investment environment and facilitating all investors to achieve with confidence.
